ARTAS in the News: Burnie Court Complex Tender Awarded

“$15 million Burnie Court Complex on Mooreville Road to be designed by ARTAS Architects.

Justice Minister Elise Archer announced on Tuesday afternoon that Tasmanian firm ARTAS Architects would be designing and overseeing the construction.”

ARTAS are excited to be working on this important project in North West Tasmania. We have sought advice from our specialist consultant FMSA Architecture for this project as they possess extensive understanding and experience of designing new and refurbishing/upgrading existing government court spaces as well as offering complimentary expert skills to enable delivery of this complex project.

“Modern court facilities need to balance providing an environment which is safe and secure, yet a welcoming facility for the public and staff, whilst being adaptable to operational changes due to variations in legislation, policy and sentencing. In response, modern court facilities must be designed with an innovate layout that offers functional operational solutions to the ever broadening styles of case, evidence and presentation of information whilst addressing the required level of formality.” Greg Anson, Director FMSA

Our combined team of specialists will enable us to deliver an exceptional outcome for the  Department of Justice and the Burnie community.
