Dial Regional Sports Complex
The redevelopment of the Dial Park Regional Sports Complex delivers upgraded sporting and community facilities to support growing participation across Tasmania’s North West Coast. Undertaken for Central Coast Council, the project responds to increased demand following the integration of the nearby Penguin Recreation Grounds, reinforcing Dial Park’s role as a regional sports hub.
At the centre of the upgrade is a new, purpose‑built pavilion designed by ARTAS to support both everyday use and major competition events. A glazed function space forms the heart of the building, providing visual connection to the main oval, secondary fields and the coastline beyond. Player amenities, officials’ facilities, hospitality spaces and undercover spectator seating are arranged to enable shared use and clear circulation across sporting codes.
The wider precinct upgrade includes new and upgraded ovals to regional AFL and cricket standards, alongside improved parking, training infrastructure and lighting. Simple in its expression, the pavilion uses durable materials with subtle coastal references, creating a flexible and robust sports precinct that supports competition, training and community life.
