Dial Regional Sports Complex
Completed in 2018, this major redevelopment by the Central Coast Council provided additional and upgraded facilities at the existing Dial Regional Sports Complex to cater to the increased user group generated by the merge with the nearby Penguin Recreation Grounds.
The new, purpose-built Pavilion includes a large function space that connects visually to the main field, secondary field and the coastline beyond. The pavilion also provides undercover grandstand style seating, players amenities, a bar, canteen and kitchen as well as official’s facilities and a meeting room. External upgrades include two new supports ovals, sized to suit regional standard AFL and Cricket, upgraded carparking, cricket nets, storage, new lighting, picnic facilities and a playground.
Simple in its expression, the pavilion incorporates robust materials with splashes of blue to the façade and seating evoking the site’s coastal location.
