Masonic Peace Memorial Haven Redevelopment

Masonic Peace memorial entrusted ARTAS as the sole Architect to be a part of their expansion at Norwood peace haven after they received approval for their Commonwealth Government funds.

The redevelopment is the first major upgrade for the facility since its initial construction some 20 years ago. Working Close with the Masonic CEO and CFO, The new 16 bed wellington Wing has been designed to modern aged care standards and best practices. Each room has its own private ensuite with a ceiling lifting system device to enable staff to move residents within the rooms. Rooms are also fitted with a Questek wireless Nurse call Assist system.

The building itself has been designed on an East / West axis to maximise the sites northern orientation and connected to the existing Reception, Chapel & Administration facilities on the site.

The overall redevelopment is being carried out in stages with stages 2 & 3 well into the planning and approval stages. One of the features of the new Wellington Wing is the Raised corridor roofs that let in natural light and provide natural ventilation via electric opening windows to the internal parts of the building that would not otherwise receive direct natural daylight. All rooms are heated with Hydronic in-slab floor heating, and the Wellington Wing is equipped with a building management system to monitor & control access to the building and staff security
